WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Senior
Amanda Entress broke her own school record Wednesday as Nazareth's track and field teams competed at the ECAC Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Westfield State.
Entress finished in fourth place in the compeition with a jump of 11.38 meters or 37 feet, 4 inches -- one inch better than her third-place leap at the NYSCTC meet at Rensselaer earlier this month.
In the men's competition, Nazareth's 4 x 400-meter relay team of
Nick LaBarbera,
Michael-Jordan Morris,
Matt Battaglia and
Tom Sippie also broke its own record by finishing sixth with a time of 3:17.64.
Senior
Luis Rivera also competed in the hammer throw for the Golden Flyers and finished second with a toss of 57.32 meters (188 feet, 1 inch).
Competition resumes Thursday with Sippie seeking to post an NCAA qualifying time in the 400-meter dash.
