ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Sixteen different players reached the scoring column for third-ranked RIT Tuesday as the visiting Tigers scored a decisive 26-8 men's lacrosse victory over Nazareth in a non-conference game at Golden Flyer Stadium.
The Tigers have now won the last nine meetings with the Golden Flyers in men's lacrosse and improved to 14-1 overall. Nazareth dropped to 11-5. The Golden Flyers close out their regular-season schedule Saturday with a key Empire 8 Conference game at Stevens at 1 p.m.. The winner of that game will be the second seed and host for the first round of the E8 Tournament next Wednesday. Nazareth and Stevens will play again in the first round.
For RIT, Ryan Lee, Chad Levick, Brendan McDonald and Alex Bodin scored three goals each.
Troy Haefele scored twice and added an assist for Nazareth.

Luke Wooters also had goals for Nazareth, which had a 61-45 advantage in shots. The Golden Flyers were turned aside repeatedly by RIT goalies Nick Nesbitt, Jarryd Lee, Jon Berg and Mike Sztorc, who combined for 22 saves.
It took all of nine seconds for RIT to take the lead as Steven Ricci won the opening face-off and fed Levick for the game's first score. That triggered a seven-goal burst that was finally interrupted when Wooters and O'Neill scored for the Golden Flyers. DeLisle also scored for Nazareth in the opening quarter, but RIT still led 9-3 after the first 15 minutes.
The Tigers scored four more times in the second quarter to go up 13-4 at the half. They extended that advantage to 18-5 after three quarters.
Nazareth had a variety of chances, including six extra-man opportunities but failed to convert. Haefele and O'Neill each took 12 shots, but managed just three goals between them. RIT scored three times in four man-up opportunties.
RIT had a 35-29 edge in ground balls and the Tigers won 19 of the 36 face-offs. DeLisle won 14 of 29 draws for Nazareth and
Gavin Shaner won three of seven.
Scott Brown started in goal for Nazareth and made two saves.
Michael Cuciti came on late in the second quarter and finished with seven saves.
