CLERMONT, Fla. -- Suzie Gray scored a career-high six goals and Haley DeVona added four goals and one assist Tuesday as Nazareth dominated Emerson in a non-conference women's lacrosse game, 20-10, at the National Training Center.

The game was the first of two games that the Golden Flyers will play on its spring break trip to Florida. Nazareth is 2-0 with a game Thursday against Methodist College at 12 p.m. Emerson lost for the first time and dropped to 2-1. The six goals Tuesday equaled Gray's total output for 2015.

Against Emerson, Nazareth erupted for 14 goals in the second half to erase a 7-6 halftime deficit to blow away the Lions. Down one at the half, the Golden Flyers scored 13 straight goals to open the second half to change the outcome. Gray scored three of her goals during that stretch, including the go-ahead goal on a free-position shot with 27:32 to play. That put Nazareth ahead 8-7 and triggered an onslaught that ended with Nazareth ahead 19-7 with 7:06 to play.

Gray scored the first three goals of the game to put Nazareth in front early, but Emerson scored the next five goals to take the lead, 5-3, with 16:36 to go in the first half. Nicole DeVona scored an unassisted goal to tie the score at 6-6 with less than three minutes left in the half, but the Lions scored with just :29 left to take the one-goal lead at the break.

In addition to Gray, Haley DeVona had four goals and one assist and her sister Nicole DeVona had two goals and one assist. Kate Rothrock had two goals and five assists and Carly Gates and Jessica Locey also scored twice each. Jamie Martin and Katia Hernas also had goals.

Nazareth had a sizeable 35-15 edge in shots, including a 22-5 advantage in the second half. Nazareth also had 18 ground balls to Emerson's eight. Gates won six draw controls and converted her only free-position opportunity.
