Updated statsROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth closed out the regular-season home schedule of its hockey season Saturday as the Golden Flyers came from behind to defeat Neumann, 4-1, in ECAC West action. The game marked the final regular-season home game for Nazareth's 14 seniors, all of whom were in uniform for the game.
Nazareth gained a split of the weekend series with the Knights and improved to 8-12-4 overall and 5-8-1 in conference play. Neumann dropped to 13-8-3 overall and 5-7-2 in ECAC West action.
"It was a great way for our seniors to go out," said Nazareth Coach
George Roll. "These guys have been the building blocks to our program and it has been a privilege to coach them."
To win, Nazareth overcame a 1-0 deficit and got a 44-save effort from senior goaltender
Ed Zdolshek, a four-year starter who gained his sixth win of the season. He had 22 saves in the second period alone to help the Golden Flyers rally. Sophomore

Scott Dawson each netted power-play goals with Dawson's goal coming with just 54 seconds left in the period.
The score went unchanged until just 3:50 remained and junior
C.J. Murray scored his sixth goal of the season off an assist from sophomore
John Power. Another senior,
Scott Andler, sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with just 28 ticks left. It was Andler's eighth goal of the season.
"It was really great to get all those guys in the game," said Roll, "and it was a true testament to what playing hockey at Nazareth means to them."
After a scoreless first period in which Nazareth controlled most of the action with a 12-10 edge in shots, Neumann's Brandon Gagne scored a power-play goal at 13:48 to give the Knights the lead.
Less than three minutes later, Nazareth capitalized on a its first power-play chance as Janzen buried a shot on a one-timer after receiving a pass from
Dominik Gabaj. Dawson then scored what proved to be the game-winner with assists from Power and Andler. Murray and Andler then added valuable insurance goals in the third period.
Neumann had a 45-36 advantage in shots and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Nazareth converted 2-of-3 extra-man chances.

Nazareth has one regular-season game remaining -- Friday at Utica at 7 p.m. The Golden Flyers will need a victory combined with a Neumann loss at home againsgt Manhattanville to gain an opportunity to host an ECAC West first-round playoff game.
