BROCKPORT, NY- The Nazareth women's volleyball squad saw its win streak snapped at eight as it fell to Brockport in a non-conference match-up Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles, now winners of 10 straight, defeated the Golden Flyers in three sets by scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-21.

 Nazareth's record dropped to 17-6 overall, while Brockport improves to 20-2 overall.

 In the first set, the Golden Eagles dominated the Golden Flyers and won the match, 25-22. Nazareth held the lead for the majority of the second set, but Brockport pulled away toward the end, to win 26-24.

 Brockport remained strong in the third set to defeat Naz, 25-21.

 Cady Messmer led Naz in kills with 17. She also eight digs. Melissa Newcomb tallied seven kills and Delaney Martin had six.

 Maureen Thayer tallied 33 assists and had one service ace. Celia Cordero contributed 19 digs.

 For the Golden Eagles, DeAnna Ortiz-Whittemore had 17 kills and one block. Noelle Poloncarz totaled 45 assists and Aimee Spilman contributed nine digs in the victory.

 The Golden Flyers will be back on the road Saturday as they travel to Utica, NY to take on SUNY Poly at 12 p.m. and New Paltz at 2 p.m.
