HOBOKEN, NJ -The Nazareth field hockey team scored just one goal in their loss to Stevens on Saturday, as the Ducks defeated Nazareth 4-1 in an Empire 8 contest. The Ducks scored a pair of goals in each half.
The Golden Flyers fall to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in conference play, whereas Stevens record improves to 7-3 and 4-0, respectively with the victory.
Stevens was led offensively by junior Victoria Alvarez who had one goal and one assist. Taylor Welch, Katti Thomasian, and Michaela Thompson were also credited with goals for the Ducks.
Nazareth goalie,
Kimber Nourse played in net the entire 70 minutes , making 16 saves on the day.
Emily Prescott scored the lone goal for Nazareth with only six minutes left to play in the game.
Jennifer Hilts was credited with the assist.
In the second half, the Golden Flyers were outshot 21-2.
Hilts had two shots in the game.
The Golden Flyers will be back in action Wednesday against Geneseo.
