OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Host Oswego scored a goal in each period Friday against Nazareth as the seventh-ranked Lakers defeated the Golden Flyers 3-0 in a non-conference men's hockey game at the Campus Center.

Oswego defeated the Golden Flyers for the second time in a week and improved to 11-2-2 overall. The Golden Flyers dropped to 2-12-1. Nazareth is home Saturday for a non-conference game against Cortland at 7 p.m. at the Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex.

The game was even in terms of shots as Oswego had 27 to Nazareth's 26, but the Lakers took advantage of their opportunities with goals from David Titanic, Matt Galati and Mike Montagna.

Titanic's goal came less than five minutes in off assists from Chris Carr and Kyle Badham. In the second period, Galati scored following a Nazareth penalty for too many men on the ice. Alex Botten had an assist.

Then in the third period, Montagna's goal came unassisted following a scramble in front of Nazareth goaltender Ed Zdolshek, who finished with 24 saves.

Each team had three power play opportunities. Packy Jones and Don Olivieri edach had four shots on goal for the Golden Flyers. Matt Zawadski earned the shutout for the Lakers by making 12 of his 26 saves in the third period.
