ROCHESTER, N.Y -- Visiting Elmira scored four goals in a span of roughly six minutes toward the end of the second period to replace a 3-1 deficit with a 5-3 advantage. The Soaring Eagles went on to defeat the Golden Flyers 6-3 in the Friday evening ECAC West Conference game. With the loss, Nazareth drops to 0-5-1 in ECAC West contests and 1-5-1 overall. With the victory, Elmira evens its overall record at 4-4. The Soaring Eagles improve to 3-2 in conference games.

Ben Blasko.
The Soaring Eagles answered 2:21 into the second period with a power play goal of their own. Jesper Strale evened the game with his third score of the season. Michael Collins was credited with the lone assist.
Less than two minutes later, the Golden Flyers answered only 11 seconds into their second power play. Seravalli was on the scoring end after Nazareth won the faceoff. Freshman

Jordan Ciccarello received the assists. Instead of one-timing the pass from Ciccarello toward the goal, Hill found Seravalli on the right side of the net to convert the scoring opportunity.
Nazareth took a 3-1 lead following crisp passing by the Golden Flyers' power play. Blasko passed toward the middle of the offensive zone to Murray, who scored his third goal of the season with 9:59 to play in the period. Sophomore

Elmira's scoring run began with 7:01 to play in the second period. The Soaring Eagles took advantage of odd-man rushes, open shots, and power play opportunities to pull away from the Golden Flyers. Each Elmira goal was roughly two minutes apart. Alexander Taulien scored an unassisted goal to begin the run. It was his first of the season. Carter Shinkaruk tied the game at three goals apiece at the 14:52 mark. Strale and Liam Burtt assisted on the goal. Collins scored his second of the game, which would be the eventual game-winner, with about three minutes to play in the stanza. Josh Burnell and Jarryd ten Vaanholt had the assists on Collins' goal.
The Soaring Eagles' final goal of the period was on the power play. Eric David tallied his first of the season with 1:09 to play in the period to give Elmira a 5-3 lead. Shinkaruk and Brian Depp set up the insurance goal.
Elmira added another power play goal midway through the third period for the three-goal victory. Strale recorded his second assist on the goal.
Sophomore goalie
Ed Zdolshek tallied 23 saves in the loss. Sal Magliocco amassed a game-high 26 saves for the Soaring Eagles.
The teams finished with 29 shots apiece, and Nazareth recorded a 39-30 advantage in faceoffs won. Blasko won 12 of 19 faceoffs and sophomore
Packy Jones won 11 of 16 to lead the Golden Flyers. Both teams finished 3-6 on their respective power play opportunities.
Nazareth travels to Elmira on Saturday for another ECAC West contest. The puck drops at 7 p.m. against the Soaring Eagles. The Golden Flyers travel to Adrian, Michigan to play the U.S. National U-18 team on November 30th before playing Adrian in a non-conference game on December 1st. Nazareth also plays a non-conference game at Cortland on December 12th before hosting Geneseo in a non-conference game at Frontier Field on December 15th.
