ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's and women's indoor track and field teams are in action this weekend at the NYSCTC Championships at RIT's Gordon Field House.

In the men's meet, graduate student Robby Castor anchored the Golden Flyers' Distance Medley that placed fifth in 10:43.48. Dave patalano, Phil Schierer and Tim Rutan also competed.

Junior Matt Morales rank 14th in the 5,000-meter run (15:56.50) and sophomore Dan Polino was 12th in the long jump (6.06 meters or 19 feet, 10 3.4 inches).

In the women's meet, graduate student Melissa Cutcliffe placed eighth in the long jump at 5.29 meters, the equivalent of 17 feet, 4 1/4 inches. Freshman Mindy Niebuhr was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.53 meters (5 feet, 1/4 inches).

Nazareth also earned team points in the Distance Medley behind the foursome of Sarah Wilcox, Evelyn DeSantis, Caitlyn Parmelee and Lauren Jamieson. They finished seventh in 13:15.65, nearly 20 seconds faster than their seeded time.
