ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Graduate student
Robby Castor finished second in the 800-meter run (2:00.33) Friday as Nazareth's track and field teams competed at the RIT Last Chance Invitational at the Gordon Field House.
Other competitors for Nazareth included sophomore
Peter Fekete, who competed in both the mile (20th in 4:49.89) and the 3,000-meter run (12th in 9:58.87); and sophomore
Tim Rutan, who finished ninth in the 500-meter run (:71.21).
In the women's meet, junior
Kristi Custer broke her own school record in the triple jump for the third time this season as she was Nazareth's lone first-place finisher with a leap of 11.02 meters, which equals 36 feet, 2 inches.
Other Nazareth competitors included freshman
Mindy Niebuhr, who was third in the high jump (1.52 meters or 4 feet, 11 3/4 inches); freshman
Lauren Jamieson, who ran third in the mile (5:30.41); sophomore
MIchelle Gillette, who was fourth in the 3,000-meter run (11:27.99); and sophomore
Deb Morey, who was fourth in the long jump (4.65 meters or 15 feet, 3 1/4 inches).
