Gabel takes the Athlete of the Week honor for the second time in a row after leading the Golden Flyers' men's basketball team to two wins at the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. He scored a season-high 27 points in Thursday's 81-73 victory over Rochester. He then contributed 20 points in a 90-77 win over RIT to earn tournament MVP honors as Nazareth improved to 4-1 overall. In the two games, he went 15-for-29 from the field (.517) with three three-pointers and sank 14-of-16 foul shots. He leads the Golden Flyers in scoring at 19.3 points per game.
