Gabel helped the Golden Flyers to a weekend split of non-conference games at the Elizabethtown Tournament by averaging 16.5 points and 11.5 rebounds against St. Mary's of Maryland and Penn State Harrisburg. He had 17 points and 12 rebounds in an 89-77 loss to St. Mary's on Friday and added 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists in a 87-82 win against PS-Harrisburg Saturday. He went 12 for 30 from the field with four three-pointers and 5-for-5 from the foul line and was named to the all-tournament team for the Golden Flyers (7-3 overall).
