Newcomb helped the Golden Flyers to a great start to the 2018 volleyball season as she was named to the all-tournament team at Cortland's Red Dragon Classic. Nazareth won all four of its matches and Newcomb totaled 34 kills, 17 digs, 12 service aces and 12 blocks. She also posted a .375 hitting percentage (34-7-72). In a four-set win over Stockton last Friday, she had 15 kills and seven blocks. Then against Cortland on Saturday, she served up seven aces and had six digs.
