Battaglia finished second in the 800-meter run Saturday at the NYSCTC Championships at St. Lawrence. In a close race, Battaglia was just a fraction of a second behind the winner. Battaglia also competed in the distance medley relay (10:50.75) that finished eighth and the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:27.05) that placed sixth.
