Communication Sciences and Disorders major… born 9/19/95… son of Tom Battaglia and Lori Rolince, Syracuse, N.Y… returning for his fourth indoor track and field season, Battaglia enjoyed a stellar indoor season during his senior year ... ran a top 800 time of 1:55.97 to finish fifth at the ECAC meet ... won the 800 at the Empire 8 Championship (1:56.35) ... during the outdoor season ran top time of 1:56.50 in the 800 at the Oneonta Qualifier on 5/17/17 and placed fifth at the Empire 8 meet in 1:57.81 … ran personal-best of 4:12.27 in the 1500 at the Golden Eagle Invite on 4/1/17

2016: competed during the fall 2016 season in cross country, with a top time of 27:11.3 over 8K at the Mike Woods Invitational on 10/1/16 to finish in 72nd place.Battaglia was competitive during both the indoor and outdoor seasons ... as a junior, he finished first at the NYSCTC Championships in the 800-meter with a 1:55.35 also taking first at the Empire 8 Indoor Championship (1:55.93) ... helped Nazareth's 4 x 400 set the school record on 3/4/16 at the SLU Fast Chance Qualifier in a time of 3:21.14 ... that same 4 x 400 squad won the NYSCTC and Empire 8 titles ... a member of the 4 x 200 squad that set a school record at Ithaca on 2/6/16 in 1:32.51 .. during the outdoor season helped the 4 x 100 relay set the school record (43.19) at Houghton for the Empire 8 meet ... also was on the record-setting 4 x 400 relay at the ECAC meet (3:17.64).

2015: Battlaglia enjoyed a breakout season in 2015 both indoors and outdoors… ran a top outdoor time of 1:53.92 in the 800-meter run and won NYSCTC and Empire 8 Conference titles… also part of the 4 x 400-meter relay that set a school record (3:18.42) and won NYSCTC and Empire 8 Conference titles… Battaglia also enjoyed a strong indoor season as he posted personal-best times of 1:06.03 in the 500-meter run and 1:58.03 in the 800... finished second in the 800 at the Empire 8 Conference meet on 2/14/15 and fifth in the 500 at the ECAC Championships on 3/7/15... part of record-breaking 4 x 400-meter relay that set a school record of 3:24.95 with a first-place finish at the Bomber Invitational on 2/1/15... competed for the Golden Flyers' cross country team the past three seasons and placed 162nd with a time of 28:23.0 for 8 kilometers at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race at Letchworth State Park in 2015.

2014: Battaglia had top times in 2014 of 2:03.00 for 800 meters and 4:34.40 for 1,500 meters – both outdoors... ran for the Golden Flyers' cross country team in 2013 and 2014... finished 202nd (29:11.7) in the 8-kilometer race at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals in 2014... also placed 34th in the Empire 8 Conference meet at Saratoga.

Scholastic: a graduate of Solvay High School, Battaglia was a four-year member of the varsity cross country and track and field teams…received all-league honors during the cross country season as a senior in 2012… helped track and field teams to the 2013 Indoor OHSL League title and the Section Three Class B title… during the outdoor season, Battaglia helped his team to the 2012 and 2013 Section Three Class B title while winning the individual title in the 400-meter dash… was also an state meet qualifier as a member of the 4 x 800-meter relay team… was named the 2012 Indoor and 2013 Outdoor MVP.
