SYRACUSE, NY – Nationally ranked St. Lawrence scored the first seven goals of the game Tuesday and cruised to a 14-3 men's lacrosse victory over Nazareth in a non-conference game played at the Carrier Dome.

Paul Walter had goals for the Golden Flyers, who dropped to 4-5 overall. St. Lawrence, ranked fourth nationally in Division III, remained unbeaten at 7-0 after getting five goals from Jamie DeNicola.
St. Lawrence proved a valiant opponent from the get-go, scoring the first seven goals of the contest, six of which came in the opening quarter. The Saints' Andrew Jarrett made it 7-0 four minutes into the second quarter.
Nazareth finally broke through with a pair of man-up goals in the second quarter. Walter's 15th goal of the season came off an assist from
Hunter Burdick. Crowley then scored his team-leading 18th goal about a minute later off a pass from Rodin. That made the score 7-2, but the Saints tacked on another goal before halftime to make the score 8-2.
St. Lawrence then outscored Nazareth 6-1 in the second half with Rodin getting Nazareth's lone tally off a pass from Walter with 5:27 left in the quarter.
St. Lawrence had a 50-37 advantage in shots and 27-22 in ground balls.
Seth DeLisle continued to play well for Nazareth as a face-off specialist as he won 13 of 18 draws.
Alex Winkler started in goalo for Nazareth and had 11 saves.
Andrew Leahey played the final 3:26 and had one save.
Nazareth returns to Empire 8 Conference action Saturday at St. John Fisher at 12 p.m.
