ONEONTA, NY – Undefeated Hartwick score five unanswered goals to come from behind and beat Nazareth, 5-1 Saturday in the conference-opening game for each squad.
Nazareth falls to 1-3 on the year and 0-1 in Empire 8 play with the loss, while Hartwick improves to 4-0 and 1-0, respectively.
Nazareth was the first to strike in the game off a penalty corner.

Jennifer Hilts on the initial feed as Hilts collected at the top of the arc and fired it into the net for her second goal of the season.
Hartwick's offense came alive shortly after, scoring three goals in less than a nine minute span. The Hawks scored two goals off re-directed shots, then converted a penalty stroke at 25:32 to increase the advantage to 3-1.
The Hawks controlled play, outshooting the Golden Flyers 26-4 in the game.
In the second half, Sarah Ryan pushed the lead to 4-1 at the 51:19 mark. Lex Richards scored her second of the day seven minutes later to round out the scoring for the Hawks.
