ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth freshman Kelsey Hill placed ninth in heptathlon competition that was contested Sunday and Monday at RIT's Tiger Stadium. The competition is part of the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championship meet that will continue Friday and Saturday at St. John Fisher.

Hill totaled 2,919 points after completing seven events to place ninth among 10 entries. Her best perfomances were sixth-place finishes in the shot put (7.90 meters = 25 feet, 11 inches) and the 800-meter run (2:45.84). She finished eighth in the long jump (14 feet, 8 3/4 inches), ninth in the high jump (4 feet, 3 inches), 100-meter hurdles (:18.44) and the javelin (52 feet, 5 inches) and 10th in the 200-meter dash (:29.41).
