BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Unranked D'Youville pushed visiting Nazareth back to the .500 mark in men's volleyball Wednesday as the Spartans avenged an earlier defeat with a three-set triumph over the 12th-ranked Golden Flyers. Scores were 30-21, 32-30, 30-25.
Nazareth fell to 8-8 overall and 2-3 against NECVA West opponents. D'Youville, which lost to Nazareth in four sets Jan. 27, is 11-8 overall and 3-2 in the NECVA West.
Jeremy Sajdak had 16 kills to lead the Spartans. Junior
Hans Schroeder had 14 kills for the Golden Flyers and junior
Chris Mendez added nine. Senior
Kevin Kirchhoff had 18 assists and freshman
Dan Mowery had 12 digs.
Nazareth is idle this weekend, then visits SUNYIT Tuesday at 7 p.m.
