SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Senior
Caitlyn Parmelee finished in 13th place overall at the Empire 8 Championship meet to lead the women's cross country team to a third place finish. Parmelee completed the five-kilometer race in 19:23 and earned second-team all-conference honors.
Ithaca claimed first place with a total team score of just 21 points. The Bombers finished with seven runners in the top-nine places to win the E8 title. RIT finished second with 48 points, followed by the Golden Flyers in third place with 85 points.

Kelsey Ryan (19:46) was Nazareth's second runner in 18th place. Sophomore

Kelsey Mash (20:05) were the Golden Flyers' third and fourth runners, finishing in 23rd place and 24th place, respectively.

Samantha Hickok (20:28) in 34th place, and sophomore
Jordan Knutsen (20:41) in 37th place. Junior Jacquelyn Brambley (21:08) finished in 48th place, followed by freshman

Jessica Goodrich (21:18) in 51st place, and freshman Lauren Jamison (21:44) in 56th place.

Matt Morales and sophomore
Peter Fekete were Nazareth's top finishers in the men's Empire 8 Championship meet. Morales finished the eight-kilometer race in 15th place and a time of 27:25 while Fekete was 16th overall with a time of 27:37.
RIT dethroned Ithaca as the men's champion as the Tigers totaled 25 points. RIT claimed five of the top nine places, including first and second place. The Bombers followed closely in second place with 33 team points. Utica placed third with 102 points, followed by Nazareth with 127 points. The Golden Flyers edged Stevens, who placed fifth, by two points.
Freshmen
John Longo (28:55) and
Anthony Romeo (29:00) were the Golden Flyers' third and fourth finishers, in 37th place and 38th place, respectively. Romeo was followed by freshman
Josh Strough (30:00) in 52nd place, sophomore
Tim Rutan (30:01) in 53rd place, and sophomore
Nick Spera (30:20) in 56th place.
Nazareth competes next at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet, November 14th.
