ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A pair of key Empire 8 Conference games for men's soccer highlight a busy weekend of sports activity for the Nazareth College Golden Flyers. Nazareth, winners of two straight, hosts Elmira Saturday at 1 p.m. and Ithaca Sunday at 12 p.m.

Nazareth brings an overall record of 5-4 and a 1-0 conference mark into the weekend games. Nazareth blanked SUNYIT, 1-0, last Tuesday after opening its conference schedule with a 1-0 win at Utica last Friday. Elmira and Ithaca also are 1-0 in E8 action.

Both games will be available via web cast on Empire8.tv and through LiveStats.

In other action this weekend, Nazareth volleyball hosts the five-team Purple and Gold Invitational. First match is Friday at 4 p.m. with Nazareth hosting Keuka. Nazareth also plays Brockport Friday at 8 p.m. Follow the action here.

In women's soccer, Nazareth (5-2-1 overall) visits St. Lawrence (6-3-2) Saturday for a non-league match at 2 p.m.

The women's tennis team is home Saturday for an Empire 8 Conference match against RIT at 1 p.m. Both golf teams also will be competing. The men's team plays in the ECAC Tournament Saturday and Sunday at Ravenwood. The women's team travels to Cortland.

In field hockey, Nazareth (6-3 overall) brings a three-game winning streak into Sunday's Empire 8 Conference matchup at Utica. The game will be carried on Empire8.tv and available through LiveStats.
