ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's
Nick Stenuf, who recently became the Golden Flyers' first-ever cross country All-American, has added yet another honor to his growing list of achievements. He has been named Empire 8 Conference Runner of the Year.
Stenuf, a graduate student from East Syracuse, N.Y., earned All-American honors for the Golden Flyers after finishing 19th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at Hanover College in Indiana Nov. 15. In the process, Stenuf set a school record for 8,000 meters with a time of 24:49.
Stenuf earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors back in October when he placed third in the conference meet in Saratoga. He also is a four-time track and field All-American -- twice indoors, twice outdoors -- in the 800-meter run.
