Nazareth College Athletics

Nursing and Public Health major... daughter of Jack and Gretchen DeMeo, Hamburg, N.Y... team captain ... returning for her fifth year ... appeared in all 29 games last year and finished with four goals and 13 assists for 17 points ... recorded points in each of the first nine games of the season including a goal and an assist in the 6-0 win over Chatham (11/5) and two assists in the 9-0 victory over Wilkes (11/12).

2020-21: returning for her fourth season, DeMeo played in all 10 games for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season and contributed three assists... named to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference's All-Academic team for players with GPAs of 3.20 and above.

2019-20: DeMeo played in 25 games in 2019-20 and had two goals and 10 assists... scored in a 10-0 win at King's on 11/16/19 and in a 3-3 tie vs. Manhattanville on 1/24/20... also had five minor penalties for 10 minutes... named to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference's All-Academic team for players with GPAs of 3.20 and above.

2018-19: DeMeo played in all 26 games for the Golden Flyers in 2018-19 and contributed 16 points on eight goals and eight assists... had three points on two goals and one assist in a win over Anna Maria on 10/27/18... had three assists in a win at Post on 2/2/19... also scored against King's on 11/10/18, at Stevenson on 11/17/18, against Chatham on 11/30/18, against Neumann on 1/11/19, against Utica on 1/18/19 and against Lebanon Valley on 1/25/19... also led team with 22 penalty minutes on 11 minor penalties... named to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference's All-Academic team for players with GPAs of 3.20 and above.

Scholastic: a 2018 graduate of Frontier High School, DeMeo played hockey and lacrosse there... helped hockey and lacrosse teams to Section Six titles in 2017 and 2018 and hockey team to state title in '18... named Sportsman of the Year for 2018 that honors passion and sportsmanship... recipient of John Kuebler Memorial Ice Hockey Scholarship... also played for the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles 19u team.
