Nazareth College Athletics

Physical Therapy major... daughter of Nick and Jill Merriwether, Malvern, Pa... returning for her fourth track and field season, Merriwether was injured and did not compete for the Golden Flyers during the 2023 track and field season... played for the Golden Flyers' soccer team in 2022 and had a goal and four assists to help Nazareth win the Empire 8 Conference championship and gain a berth to the NCAA Tournament... represented the Golden Flyers on the E8 Presidents' List (3.75 GPA or higher) for the spring 2023 semester.

2021-22: Merriwether was named the Field Athlete of the Meet at the Empire 8 2021-22 Indoor Track and Field Championships after finishing second in the triple jump in 11.04 meters (36' 2.75 "), a personal-best, for second-team all-conference, third in the high jump with a mark of 1.56 meters (5' 1.25") fpr third-team all-conference and took fifth place in the long jump with a personal-best 5.16 meters (16' 11 1/4")... finished fifth in the javelin throw at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships at 25.90 meters (85' 0").

2020-21: Merriwether returned from injury in time to represent the Golden Flyers during the 2021 outdoor season... had personal bests in the 100-meter dash (:14.04) and the javelin (22.46 meters) and placed sixth in the high jump at the Empire 8 Outdoor meet by clearing 1.45 meters (4 feet, 9 inches)... competed for the Golden Flyers' soccer team in the fall of 2021 and assisted the team in capturing the Empire 8 Conference title by contributing two goals and one assist... both goals came in Empire 8 Tournament wins over Hartwick and St. John Fisher respectively.

2019-20: represented the Golden Flyers during the indoor season in 2020 and finished third in the high jump (4 feet, 11 inches) at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton... at the same meet, Merriwether posted personal-bests in the triple jump (32 feet, 8 1/2 inches), long jump (16 feet, 4 1/4 inches) and the 60-meter dash (8.36) to finish fifth, seventh and 11th respectively... leaped 1.56 meters (5 feet, 1 1/4 inches) in the high jump at RIT's Tiger Invitational on 1/18/20... played for the Golden Flyers' soccer team in 2019 and produced two goals and one assist in 16 games.

Scholastic: a graduate of Great Valley High School, Merriwether competed in soccer. track and football... played four seasons of varsity soccer and served as team captain in 2017 and 2018 and was a two-time first-team all-star in the Ches-Mont League... also first-team all-area honoree as a senior... competed as a sprinter and high jumper in track and was named Great Valley Track and Field Outstanding female jumper for four seasons... competed as a kicker for the football team for one season and was selected to compete in the Valor Bowl senior all-star game... member of National Honor Society and French National Honor Society... recipient of Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizenship Award for 2018...member of Girl Scouts for 13 years.
