Nazareth College Athletics

Biomedical Sciences major... daughter of Stephen and Donna Hanning, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fourth season of track and field, Hanning continued to excel for the Golden Flyers in cross country in the fall of 2023 as Nazareth captured its first-ever Empire 8 Conference title... finished fifth individually at the E8 meet at Parkview Fairways in Victor to earn first-team all-conference honors... had a personal-best 6-kilometer time of 22:06.8... went on to place 24th at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional race (22:30.0) at Houghton to help Nazareth to an eighth-place finish in the team standings.

2022-23: Hanning was instrumental in helping the Golden Flyers capture their first-ever Empire 8 Conference titles during the indoor and outdoor seasons... finished second in the 10,000-meter run (38:56.86) and fourth in the 5,000 (18:53.62) at the E8 outdoor meet at Utica... went on to place eighth in the 10,000m at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Susquehanna with a personal-best time of 38:08.77...outdoor season included top times in the 1,500m (5:06.33) and the 5,000m (18:17.59)... indoor season featured second-place finishes in the 3,000-meter run (with a personal-best time of 10:41.38) and the 5,000-meter run (18:42.82)... also fifth in the mile with a personal-best time of 5:22.41... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List (3.75 GPA or better) for the fall and spring semesters.

2021-22: Hanning had finished sixth in the 5000 at the Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships in 2022 with a time of 19:10.37... she also took third place at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships in the 10,000 in a time of 39:45.70 which earned her third-team all-conference... also competed for the cross country team in 2022, running 22:57.7 over 6k to finish second at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships and earn first-team all-conference... she also earned all-region after finishing in 21st place (23:57.7) at the Niagara Region Cross Country Championships... rattled off a career-best 15:38.9 over 4k at the Hamilton Short Course.

2020-21: Hanning competed during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2021 and finished fourth in the 10,000-meter run (40:23.51) at the E8 Outdoor meet at St. John Fisher on 5/8/21... was among the top runners for the Golden Flyers' cross country team in the fall of 2021 as she posted a 6k time of 23:42.7 to finish in 11th place at the Empire 8 Conference meet on 10/320/21... earned second-team all-conference honors as Nazareth placed second in the team standings... also competed in the spring of 2021 and placed eighth at the E8 Conference meet at Houghton on 4/9/21 to help the Golden Flyers to a second-place finish overall... clocked in 20:10.6 for 5 kilometers to earn first-team all-conference as well as E8 Sportswoman of the Year... finished seventh at St. John Fisher's Rodenbeck Invitational with a time of 16:43.6 for 4 kilometers.

Scholastic: a graduate of Bishop Kearney High School, Hanning competed there in cross country and track and field... served as team captain and earned team MVP honors in cross country in 2019... finished ninth in Section Five Class D championships.
