Physical Therapy major ...born 11/19/92 ... daughter of Mary and John Heitzhaus, Buffalo, N.Y... returning for her fourth track and field season, Heitzhaus participated on two school-record relay teams in 2012-13... helped 4 x 800-meter relay team to a time of 9:39.39 at the ECAC Indoor Championships at the NYC Armory on 3/2/13... also part of the record-breaking 4 x 800-meter outdoor relay that posted a time of 9:37.73 at the NYSCTC Meet at St. Lawrence on 5/3/13... top times in 2013 included a 5:35.28 indoors in the mile at RIT on 2/15/13... completed her fourth season of cross country in the fall of '13 and placed 24th at the Empire 8 Conference Championships with a 5k time of 19:25.9... also ran 89th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race with a personal best time of 23:32.3 for 6 kilometers...
2012: finished seventh in the 800- and sixth in the 1,500-meter run at the Empire 8 Conference Outdoor meet in 2012… finished 15th in the 800 in 2:25.97 at the NYSCTC Outdoor meet…was Nazareth's top cross country finisher at the Empire 8 meet, placing 19th (19:23.17) on the 3-mile course at Saratoga State Park... also placed 96th (24:04.1) in the 6-kilometer race at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Genesee Valley Park...
2011 cross country: returning for her third season, Heitzhaus ran regularly for the Golden Flyers in 2011… placed 32nd in the Empire 8 Conference meet with a time of 20:35 over 3 miles at Saratoga Park…
2010: Heitzhaus competed in five meets… placed 27th (19:08—4.2 km) in her first meet at Colgate and finished 14th (17:30—4 km) at Nazareth’s Invitational ...
Scholastic: a graduate of Nardin Academy, Heitzhaus competed in track and field and cross country... earned All-Catholic first-team honors in 2009 for cross country and second team honors in 2006 and 2008...also earned All-Catholic honors in the 1,500- and 3,000-meter runs in track and field...recipient of Unsung Hero Award in '08... recipient of Buffalo Scholar Athlete Award.
