Biography
Psychology and Inclusive Childhood Education major... daughter of Bob and Suzanne Shea, Poughkeepsie, N.Y... returning as a graduate student for her fourth track and field season, Shea competed during the outdoor season in 2019 and finished 13th in the 1,500-meter run (5:21.61) at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Houghton... competed for the cross country team in 2018 and finished 25th at the E8 meet at Alfred (28:13.2 for 6k).
2017-18: Shea ran regularly for the cross country team in 2017 and finished 42nd at the Empire 8 Conference meet with a 6-kilometer time of 27:57.0 at Victor's Parkview Fairways... also finished 166th at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals at Houghton with a time of 25:27.9.
2016-17: completed her second season of cross country in the fall of '16 and placed 126th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race at Rowan with a 6-kilometer time of 23:29.2... also placed 36th at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Hartwick with a time of 20:51 for 5 kilometers... competed outdoors in 2017 and had a personal-best time of 5:09.43 for 1,500 meters... top indoor times included 2:32.42 in the 800 and 3:28.93 in the 1,000... finished second in the distance medley relay (13:05.42) at the E8 Conference meet.
2015-16: ran at the Empire 8 Championships, clocking a 20:38.5 for 5 kilometers to finish in 38th place... ran an indoor time of 3:24.59 for 1,000 meters and top outdoor times of 2:28.30 for 800 meters and 5:17.18 for 1,500 meters.
Scholastic: a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Shea ran cross country along with indoor and outdoor track for four seasons… earned numerous Section One All-League selections including in the 4x800 and 4x400… Section One All-County selection in cross country and in the 4x800 (Outdoor) as a senior.
