Mathematics Education major ... born 9/18/99 ... daughter of Tim and Penny Hensler of Lakeville, N.Y... competed for the Golden Flyers' cross country team in the fall, Hensler finished second individually at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan with a time of 18:48.3 for 5 kilometers and then ran 18:27.0 in a 5k at the Saratoga Invitational... missed the E8 meet and the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet because of a foot injury... twice honored as E8 Runner of the Week (for 9/5 and 9/12).
Scholastic: a graduate of Livonia High School, Hensler competed four years on the cross country and track and field teams there ... helped cross country team to Section Five titles in 2014 and 2015... placed in the top five at Section Five Class C meet four straight times... placed seventh at the state meet in 2016. ... placed seventh at the NYS XC race in 2016 and second at both the Section Five and Genesee-Livingston Championships... earned first-team All-Greater Rochester honors from the Democrat and Chronicle in 2016 ... recipient of Section Five Sportsmanship award for 2014 and Class C award for 2016... recipient of several scholarship awards, including Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award, Livonia Athletic Booster Club Scholarship and American Legion Scholarship... member of National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.
