Physical Therapy major ...born 4/14/92...daughter of David and Nancy Althaus, Delhi, N.Y... returning for second track and field season, Althaus did not run for the Golden Flyers last spring... ran cross country in the fall and finished 35th at the 3-mile Empire 8 Conference meet at Saratoga State Park (20:05.03) and 167th at the 6-kilometer NCAA Atlantic Regional race at Genesee Valley Park (25:16.3)...

2011: ran regularly in cross country for the Golden Flyers and finished 21st over 3 miles at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Saratoga… finished 138th on a 6,000-meter course at Canton, N.Y. at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet...

2010: made an immediate impact as she competed in all eight of the Golden Flyers’ cross country meets... finished 21st (18:59—4.2 km) in her first collegiate meet at Colgate and sixth at Nazareth’s Invitational (16:37—4 km)... also placed 59th at the NYSCTC meet (19:59—5 km), 25th at the Empire 8 Championships (19:43—5 km), and 128th (25:23—6 km) at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals... also competed for the Golden Flyers indoor and outdoor track and field teams... finished seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (13:15.56) at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships and 15th in the same event(12:55.85) at the NYSCTC Meet...

Scholastic: a graduate of Delaware Academy, Althaus was a standout there in cross country and track... was a five-time first-team all-star in the Mid-State Athletic Conference and twice competed in the state meet... a four-time recipient of the New York State Scholar-Athlete Award and named team's Most Valuable Runner as a senior... also qualified for the state meet in track and field and named Delaware Academy's Outstanding Female Athlete for 2009-10... helped cross country team to sectional titles in 2007 and 2008 as well as four league titles… recipient of numerous academic scholarships, including a Nazareth Presidential Scholarship.
