Career Results
Social Work major... daughter of Jack Chwazik and Janice Atwell Machowski, Remsen, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Eaton enjoyed a sensational, honor-laden season in 2018, highlighted by a third-place finish and an All-American certificate in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March... shattered her own school record with a leap of 11.89 meters (39 feet, 0 1/4 inch)... also competed in the long jump as the NCAA Outdoor Championships and finished 20th... outdoor season included first-place finishes in the long jump at both the All-Atlantic Regional Championships (with a leap of 5.77 meters or 18 feet, 11 1/4 inches) and the Empire 8 Conference Championships (5.72 meters)... also won E8 title in the triple jump with 11.40 meters (37 feet, 5 inches) and finished second in 400-meter dash (:57.47)... in addition to earning All-American honors during the indoor season, Eaton was third in the triple jump at the All-Atlantic Regional meet (11.66 meters) and won the long jump (5.55 meters), the triple jump (11.39 meters) and the 4 x 400-meter relay (4:10.67) at the E8 Conference Meet.
2017: Eaton (formerly Alycia Atwell-Chwazik) had a strong outdoor season in 2017 as she won the Empire 8 Conference title in the triple jump with a leap of 11.09 meters (36 feet, 4 3/4 inches)... also finished third in the same event at the NYSCTC meet (35 feet, 9 1/4 inches)... had a jump of 11.27 meters (36 feet, 11 3/4 inches) at Oneonta on 5/17/17... also long jumped 5.34 meters (17 feet, 6 1/4 inches) at Nazareth's ROC City Classic on 4/9/17...won the NYSCTC long jump title during the indoor season with a jump of 5.22 meters (17 feet, 1 1/2 inches)... placed second in the triple jump at the Empire 8 Conference Indoor meet with a leap of 35 feet, 7 1/4 inches.
2016: competed during the 2016 indoor season and had bests of 16 feet, 6 1/2 inches in the long jump and 33 feet, 8 1/2 inches in the triple jump.
Scholastic: a graduate of Remsen High School, Atwell-Chwazik was a standout athlete in soccer, volleyball and track and field... as a six-year participant in track and field, Atwell-Chwazik was named Center State Conference's outstanding athlete three times... also a five-time Section Three champion in the triple jump and three times in the long jump and a three-time state meet participant... helped track and field team to four league titles and four sectional titles... played middle blocker in volleyball and helped team to two league and two sectional titles... helped soccer team earn a trip to state semifinals... a high honor roll student, Atwell-Chwazik was the recipient of several scholarships and awards, including the DAR Good Citizen Award, the Remsen Alumni Scholarship, the Redmond Memorial Medical Scholarship and the Elks Most Valuable Student Award.
