Nazareth College Athletics

Communication Sciences and Disorders major……daughter of Gordon and Amy Karstedt, Eden, N.Y… returning for her fourth season, Karstedt was a strong performer for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18, posting a 16-3 overall singles record, including 8-0 in Empire 8 Conference matches to gain first-team all-conference honors... named second-team all-conference in doubles after going 15-5 overall... scored a straight-set third singles win to help Nazareth secure the E8 title with a 5-4 win over Stevens on 10/14/17. 

2016-17: Karstedt finished 10-4 in singles during her sophomore campaign, including going 5-1 at fourth singles during Empire 8 Conference play ... finished 5-8 at second doubles with Jean McCarthy. 

2015-16: Karstedt earned honorable mention all-star honors in the Empire 8 Conference after compiling a 7-1 E8 record at sixth singles... also collected three wins at third doubles. 

Scholastic: a graduate of Eden Jr./Sr. High School, Karstedt played tennis and softball and was a member of the cheerleading squad…played on the varsity tennis team for four seasons and served as team captain for two seasons… a three-time all-star in the Erie County Interscholastic Conference, including a first-team selection as a senior... also helped team to state title in softball.
