History and International Relations major… daughter of Ken and Rose Ann Mortensen, Elmira N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Mortensen tallied 107 points for the Golden Flyers during the 2007-08 season. . . top performances included 2:07.12 in the 200-yard freestyle, 5:29.99 in the 500-yard freestyle and 19:10 in the 1,650-yard freestyle. . . 2006-07: scored 89 team points and was a team captain… top performances included 2:04.74 in the 200-yard free, 5:31.58 in the 500-yard free, and 18:53.72 in the 1650 free. . . also won the team's Academic Award for the second consecutive season. . . 2005-06: Mortensen had a strong year as she scored 134 team points and placed seventh in the 1,650 freestyle and 10th in both the 200 and 500 freestyle races at the Empire 8 Conference meet… recipient of team’s Academic Award for the highest grade-point average. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Horseheads High School, where she swam for six seasons. . . served as team captain and earned Kiwanis Club Athlete of the Month honors in October 2004. . . earned team MVP honors in 2005 and was a Southern Tier Athletic Conference all-star five times. . . helped team to STAC West Division titles all six seasons. . . served on Youth Court and Youth Council and was the recipient of National Youth Service Award. . . serves as president of Nazareth's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
