Nazareth College Athletics

Nursing and Public Health major... daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Batz, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Batz swam well for the Golden Flyers in 2019-20 as she was part of the 200 medley relay that finished first at the Allegheny Empire Conference meet in 1:47.05... also swam on runner-up 400 medley relay (3:57.07) and finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:00.14)... placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:14.07) and fifth in the 50 freestyle (:24.98).

2018-19: Batz competed regularly for the Golden Flyers in 2018-19... was part of 400 free relay team that finished second at the Empire 8 Conference meet (3:37.58)... also finished sixth in the 100 backstroke (1:02.62), seventh in the 100 freestyle (:56.21) and 10th in the 50 freestyle (:25.64).

2017-18: Batz swam well for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18 as a freestyle and backstroke specialist... was part of the 200 medley relay that finished first at the Empire 8 Conference meet (1:49.26)... also part of the 200 free and 400 medley relays that each placed second in 1:38.57 and 3:59.36 respectively... part of 400 free relay that finished third (3:40.12)... in individual events, Batz was fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:16.08) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:02.26).

Scholastic: a graduate of Hilton High School, Batz swam on the varsity team there for six seasons, specializing in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke... finished seventh in both events at the Section Five Class A meet in 2016... a four-time first-team Monroe County League all-star and a six-time scholar-athlete award winner... recipient of Red, White and Black Award for sportsmanship... member of National Honor Society and part of the President's Education Awards program for outstanding academic excellence... also swam for the Northwest YMCA Stingrays.
