French major…daughter of Brian and Mary Sabonis, Yorkville, NY… Sabonis is returning to the Golden Flyers for her third season. . . Sabonis scored 27.3 points for the Golden Flyers during the 2007-08 season. . . top performances included :28.34 in the 50-yard freestyle, :59.18 in the 100-yard freestyle, 2:08.21 in the 200-yard freestyle, 106.79 in the 100-yard fly. . . Sabonis also earned the Academic Award for being the swimmer/diver with the highest GPA. . . 2006-07: studied abroad and swam with the University of Rennes 2 swim team. . . top performances include: 1:04.51 in the 100-yard fly and 2:27.02 in the 200-yard fly… Scholastic: Sabonis is a graduate of Whitesboro High School, where she competed on the swim team for four seasons. . . served as team captain and named team MVP. . . helped team to Frontier League championship while winning the 500 freestyle. . . also competed in track and field and a member of the National Honor Society.
