Physical Therapy major... born 7/27/90... daughter of Gary and Alice Conkiln, Reading Center, N.Y... team captain... returning for her fourth season, Conklin was a member of the 800-meter relay to set the pool and school record in 9:10.20 (1/19/11)... set school records at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships in the 400-yard freestyle relay (2/26/11) and 800-yard freestyle relay (2/25/11) with times of 3:34.74 and 7:52.01, respectively... at the conference championships, Conklin finished sixth in the 100-yard  butterfly and fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (:59.41 and 2:12.90, respectively) and seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (5:15.74)... owns top 10 all-time times in five events: 50 free (:24.78); 100 free (:54.19); 500 free (5:15.74); 100 fly (:57.31); and 200 fly (2:12.90)...
2009-10: enjoyed another strong season with top times of :25.24 in the 50 freestyle, :54.61 in the 100 freestyle, 2:01.32 in the 200 freestyle, :58.54 in the 100 fly and 2:21.60 in the 200 fly... part of school record in the 200 free relay (1:38.53)... finished 12th in the 50 free, fourth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 100 free at the Empire 8 Conference meet... earned second-team all-conference honors for the 800 free relay...
2008-09: qualified for and competed in the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly, and 100-yard freestyle at the NCAA Division III Championships in Minneapolis... finished 35th in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard butterfly with times of :58.35 and 2:13.12 respectively... finished third in the 100 butterly at the UNYSCSA meet with a career-best time of :57.31... finished eighth in the 50 free and 12th in the 100 free...
Scholastic: a graduate of Watkins Glen High School, Conklin was a member of the swim team for five seasons... named team MVP three seasons, was a five-time Interscholastic Athletic Conference all-star, an IAC Outstanding Swimmer,  NYSPHSAA Championship participant... broke the Section Four Class C record and the school record in the 100-yard fly... has nine pool records overall... twice named Star-Gazette Athlete of the Week, earned the Schuyler County Athlete Award, and recognized as the OdessaFile.com Athlete of the Year and helped team to Section Four Class C Championship in 2003... competed on the track and field team for four seasons and basketball team for three seasons... holds two school records as part of the 4x800 and 4x1600-meter relay teams... as a basketball player, twice named an IAC second-team all-star and earned Exceptional Senior award... a member of the National Honor Society and Business National Honor Society and earned a number of academic awards, including the Kodak Award for Innovation and Technology.
