Nazareth College Athletics

Biology and Education major... daughter of Barry and Jodi McNamara, Macedon, N.Y... returning for her third season, McNamara was a part of the Allegheny Mountain / Empire 8 Collegiate Conference Championship winning team... McNamara had an outstanding performance at the meet... she competed in the 50 freestyle, earning a season best time and placing sixth in the conference (25.87)... she also competed in the 100 freestyle, placing sixth again in the conference and earned a season best time (56.02)... McNamara also competed in the 200 freestyle, earning tenth place in the conference with yet another season best time (2:01.64).

2020-21: McNamara swam well for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-altered 2021 spring season... helped Nazareth to the championship of the Rochester Invitational by swimming on the 800 free relay team (8:08.23) that finished in third place... also finished sixth in the 50 freestyle (:25.46), seventh in the 200 freestyle (2:03.63) and 12th in the 100 freestyle (:56.79).

2019-20: McNamara was among the Golden Flyers' top newcomers in 2019-20 as she participated on the 200 free and 400 free relays that earned first-team all-conference honors... timed in 1:36.07 in the 200 free relay and 3:32.24 in the 400 free relay... also swam on 800 free relay that placed second at the Allegheny Empire Conference meet at Webster Aquatic Center... also placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (:54.69), fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.60) and eighth in the 200 butterfly (2:25.01).

Scholastic: a graduate of Ruben A. Cirillo High School in Walworth, N.Y., McNamara was a member of the swimming and diving team as well as the track and field team there... a varsity swimmer for five seasons and two-time team MVP... a 19-time Finger Lakes League all-star and nine-time Section Five champion in Class C... named Swimmer of the Meet in 2018... two-time team MVP in outdoor track and field... also swam for the Gananda Racing Aquatic Team as well as the Webster Blue Fins... recipient of Macedon Town Ambulance Scholarship, 2019 Phone-A-Thon Award and Gananda Sports Boosters Award.
