Communication and Rhetoric major...born 6/12/91... daughter of Scott and Deanna Risucci, Deerfield, N.Y... back for her fourth season, Risucci was dominant again for the Golden Flyers in 2011-12 as she earned All-American honors in the 200 breaststroke for the third year in a row by breaking her own school record (2:17.15) with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships in Indianapolis… was honorable mention All-American in the 100 breaststroke by placing 12th in school-record 1:04.63… also part of the 10th-place 400 medley relay team (3:51.73) and 16th-place 200 medley relay (1:46.39)… won UNYSCSA and Empire 8 Conference title in the 100 breaststroke and was runner-up in the 200… also placed seventh in the 200 IM… recipient of team Coaches Award representing hard work, dedication and commitment for the second year in a row…
2010-11: Risucci was a standout once again for the Golden Flyers in 2010-11... saved her best swim of the season for last as she placed fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.38) at the NCAA Division III Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. to earn All-American honors in that event for the second year in a row... also placed 21st in the 100-yard breaststroke and 42nd in the 200-yard IM at the national meet... won Empire 8 and UNYSCSA titles in the 200 breaststroke and finished second in the 100 breaststroke... also placed seventh in the 200 IM... recipient of team Coaches Award for hard work, dedication and commitment...
2009-10: earned Division III All-American honors in the 200 breaststroke following an eighth-place finish at the national meet... also 15th in the 100 breaststroke to earn honorable mention All-American honors in that event... named Rookie of the Meet for both the Empire 8 Conference meet and the UNYSCSA meet after winning titles in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes. . . won High-Point Award as team MVP. . .
Scholastic: a graduate of Whitesboro High School, Risucci competed on the varsity swimming team for six seasons... earned All-American consideration in the 100 breaststroke and made the state cut four times in the 100 breaststroke... won the Section Three title and was the sectional record holder in the 100 breaststroke... was undefeated for five years in the 100 breaststroke... was team captain and a two-year team MVP... received the High Point Award three times and the Sportsmanship Award... was a four-year individual league champion and helped team to league championship in 2008... was a scholar-athlete and a member of National Honor Society... graduated in the top 5% of her class, received high honors and the Presidential Scholarship... additionally, Risucci is Vice President of the Class of 2013 at Nazareth.
