Physical Therapy major... daughter of John and Teresa Begy, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fifth season, Begy decided to exercise an extra season of eligibility that was granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic... started all nine games as a central defender for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-adjusted schedule during the spring of 2021 and contributed two assists... instrumental in helping limit the opposition to just four goals for a 0.43 goals-against average and six shutouts... named as a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star and named the E8 Defensive Player of the Year... named E8 Defensive Player of the Week for 3/22/21... earned several academic awards, including Scholar All-American and Scholar All-Region for the United Soccer Coaches... also named as a Player of Distinction by the USC... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75  or better... senior recipient of Jeff Van Gundy Award that recognizes work ethic and passion for team and school.
 
2019: Begy started 12 games as a defender for the Golden Flyers in 2019... helped team to seven shutout wins and a 0.79 goals-against average... named to Empire 8 President's List with a GPA of 3.75 or better.

2018: Begy was a defensive fixture for the Golden Flyers in 2018 as she started 17 games and helped the team post 10 shutouts and a 0.79 goals-against average... earned a spot on the Empire 8 President's List for student-athletes with a GPA of 3.75 or better.

2017: appeared in 12 games and recorded her first career goal against Elmira on 10/28/17... named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above.
 
Scholastic: a graduate of Aquinas Institute, Begy excelled in soccer and lacrosse and also competed in the annual Mission Bouts boxing tournament... missed the 2016 soccer season due to injury, but was a two-time all-conference selection in the Private Parochial League, including a first-team selection in 2015... helped soccer team to Section Five title in 2014 and a trip to the state semifinals... served as team captain in soccer and lacrosse and was lacrosse team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2017... earned an array of academic awards, including the President's Education Award, Sisters of St. Joseph Leadership certification and the Richard Pillitier Memorial Scholarship... member of the National Honor Society and a Notre Dame Club of Rochester Junior of the Year finalist as an 11th-grader.
