A standout player at Mercyhurst for four seasons, Elizabeth Wagner joined the Nazareth lacrosse staff as a part-time assistant coach for 2010.
Wagner graduated from Mercyhurst in 2009 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education and is working on a Master's degree at Nazareth.
A native of Rush, N.Y., Wagner was a starting defender for the Lakers and served as team captain in 2009. She led the team in ground balls in '09 and was a second-team Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference all-star. She also was a three-time Academic Honor Roll selection by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Wagner helped Mercyhurst to a 14-4 record ad a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2009.
Wagner has coached in the Henrietta Girls Lacrosse Summer League and at the Nazareth Girls' Lacrosse Camp.
