Nazareth College Athletics

Accounting major... daughter of Thomas and Leslie Rubel, Syracuse, N.Y... returning for her fourth season for the Golden Flyers and comes into the year as one of the top returning players … started all 18 games in 2022 and was a Second Team All-Empire 8 selection and was also an IWLCA All-Academic selection … finished seventh on the team with 16 points and sixth on the squad with 13 points … was second on the team with 23 groundballs and added 18 draw controls and 12 caused turnovers … had a season-best four points with three goals and an assist including the game-winning goal with 1:29 left in the 11-10 win over New Paltz.

2021: returning for her third season, Rubel played in all 13 games for the Golden Flyers in 2021 and contributed three goals and one assist... had eight ground balls and five caused turnovers... scored in road games at RIT (3/20/21), Brockport (4/6/21) and Russell Sage (4/10/21)... represented the Golden Flyers in the fall of 2021 on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 or better.

2020: Rubel competed in three games for the Golden Flyers in 2020 and scored her first career goal in a 17-2 romp over Simmons on 3/9/20... represented the Golden Flyers in the fall on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 or better.

Scholastic: a graduate of West Genesee High School, Rubel played lacrosse there and also competed in ice hockey for a combined team with Skaneateles High... served as ice hockey team captain for two seasons and helped team to three Section Three championships and a state title in 2016-17... earned second-team Section Three all-star honors in 2018-19... played lacrosse for Ethix club team... recipient of Nazareth Entrepreneurial Scholarship and Nazareth Trustees Scholarship... received President's Award for Educational Excellence and was a member of the National Honor Society.
