No stranger to the Nazareth cross country program, Jessica Brown returns in 2009 for her second season as a part-time assistant coach.
Brown was Nazareth's cross country team MVP for four straight seasons and capped her career in 2007 by becoming Nazareth's first NCAA national qualifier. She also was a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star and was recognized as an academic all-star by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Brown also was a member of Nazareth's track and field team for four seasons and holds the indoor mark for the 1,000-meter run (3:07.72) and the outdoor mark for 1,500 meters (4:50.79).
A native of Oxford, N.Y. and a graduate of Oxford Academy, Brown competed in track and tennis there. At Nazareth, Brown has a 3.84 grade-point average and is finishing up her graduate degree in Physical Therapy.
