Psychology and Early Childhood Education major... daughter of Mike and Lisa Simmons, Victor, N.Y... returning for her fourth season after a stellar year in 2022 for the Golden Flyers … she earned the prestigious Emily Haskins Inspirational Athlete Award after making a recover from knee surgery to return to play for both the basketball and softball teams … she was named a First Team All-Empire 8 All Star for the second consecutive season and led the Golden Flyers in nearly all offensive categories … she started all 37 games in centerfield and finished with a team-leading .397 batting average (48-for-121) with 25 runs, 10 doubles, a triple, two home runs and 30 runs batted in … her .545 slugging average and .451 on-base average each led the team … she was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases and did not commit an error in the field … posted a team-best 5-for-11 average in the Empire 8 Tournament including a 4-for-4 performance in the tournament against St. John Fisher … named to the NFCA National All-Academic team.
2021: returning for her third season, Simmons was among the Empire 8 Conference's top players in 2021 as she started 22 games and set single-season program records with a .463 batting average and a .507 on-base percentage... had 31 hits in 67 at bats with 13 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, three home runs and 15 runs batted in... named as a first-team E8 all-star as an outfielder... had three-hit games against Sage on 4/18/21 and at Houghton on 4/24/21... went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer vs. RIT on 5/5/21... a member of the Golden Flyers' basketball team, Simmons helped the Golden Flyers win the E8 title in 2021.
2020: Simmons missed all of the 2020 season while recovering from a knee injury.
2019: excelled for the Golden Flyers' softball team in 2019, batting .390 (41-for-105) with 10 doubles, three homers and a team-best 30 runs batted in... went 3-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in vs. Buffalo State on 4/16/19... also had three hits at Brockport on 4/10/19... earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors.
Scholastic: a graduate of Victor High School, Simmons excelled there in basketball and softball... played four seasons of varsity basketball and six seasons of softball... a two-time all-Greater Rochester selection as a left fielder in softball... helped softball team to a pair of Section Five titles and state title in 2018.
