Business Management and Marketing major... daughter of Frank and Gretchen Tortora, Rochester, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Tortora started 28 games, mostly at second base, for the Golden Flyers in 2018... batted .385 (37-for-96) and led the Golden Flyers in several offensive categories, including runs scored (21), runs batted in (22), home runs (3), total bases (55) and slugging percentage (.573)... also had a .394 on-base percentage... named as a second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star... went 4-for-5 with a home run, four runs scored and four runs batted in against Southern Vermont on 3/12/18... went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a home run on 4/26/18... also had three-hit games against Geneseo on 4/24/18 and against Sage on 4/29/18... had eight other two-hit games.
2017: Tortora started all 34 games at shortstop for the Golden Flyers in 2017 and led the team in several statistical categories, including batting average (.364), hits (43), doubles (10) and total bases (56)... also had one home run and 24 runs batted in and 16 runs scored... an honorable mention selection to the Empire 8 Conference all-star team... had four three-hit games... hit a two-run homer against Stevens on 4/1/17... had three hits and three RBIs in wins over Centenary and Edgewood on 3/12/17.
2016: started 19 games in 2016... batted .344 with two doubles … notched 21 hits during the year and seven RBI... went 3-for-3 against Wilmington on 3/10/16.
Scholastic: a graduate of Irondequoit High School, Tortora played five years of softball as a second baseman... four-time Monroe County League all-star selection... selected to participate in the Exceptional Senior Game... named team captain for two years... Scholar-Athlete for all five years... also played one year of volleyball... named Marketing Student of the Year.
