Nursing major... daughter of Neal Simon, Hornell, N.Y. and Heather Simon, Andover, N.Y... returning for her second season, Simon started three games for the Golden Flyers in 2020 and had three hits, including a double, in seven at bats... went 2-for-4 with a run batted in against Canton on 3/9/20.

Scholastic: a graduate of Andover Central, Simon competed there in soccer, basketball and softball... a five-time Allegany County League all-star as a catcher and Division II MVP in 2019... named to all-state team in 2018 and 2019... recipient of 2019 Allegany County Scholar-Athlete award... helped softball team to Section Five titles in 2015 and 2019 and soccer team to titles in 2014 and 2015... a three-time Allegany County League all-star in soccer and third-team all-state selection in 2018... competed in exceptional senior all-star game for basketball... played for Olean Synergy travel softball team... served as valedictorian for Class of 2019 and was a member of National Honor Society... recipient of several academic awards and scholarships, including the Belva A. Waite Scholarship, the Elks Association Scholarship, the 2017 Hornell Wind Ensemble Scholarship and the ACCORD Youth Service Award.
