Nazareth College Athletics

Psychology major. . . daughter of Joe and Sue Finan, Melrose, N.Y. . .  returning for her third season, Finan played in 30 games in 2008. . .  spent a majority of time at second base and posted a .277 batting average with 23 hits, 14 runs scored and 15 runs batted in. . . had three hits with a home run and three RBIs in a game against Hilbert 4/7/08 . . .  went 3-for-3 with three hits and four RBIs in a win over Keuka 4/22/08. . .  2007: started all 36 games as an infielder and posted a .292 batting average with 25 runs scored and 33 hits. . . went 3-for-3 in a win at D’Youville 4/11/07. . . had three hits in a win over Mt. Ida 3/16/07. . . Scholastic: a graduate Tamarac High School, Finan played six seasons of varsity softball… earned second-team all-star honors in the Wasaren League in 2006. . . also excelled as a defender in soccer. . . helped team to three league titles and the state Class C title in 2004… was a three-time Wasaren League all-star…also made the Section Two all-star team in 2004 and 2005…a member of the National Honor Society and recipient of gold, silver and bronze medals in National Russian Essay contests.
