Polly Welch

After a successful playing career in both soccer and softball at Nazareth, Polly Welch (formerly Muehlenkamp) returned in 2022 for her 11th season as a part-time assistant coach for the softball team.

She was a fixture in the Nazareth softball lineup for four seasons, playing mostly second base. In 2010, she started all 38 games there and had 21 hits, including a double and a home run with 14 runs scored.

A native of Cincinnati, Welch also played goalie for the Nazareth soccer team and earned a degree in Physical Therapy.

At Wyoming High in Ohio, Welch excelled in both sports and was the recipient of the Fred S. Dewey Award as the top female senior athlete in 2006.
