Nazareth College Athletics

Business Administration major... born 7/8/91... son of Robert and Linda Kraft, Waretown, N.J... returning for his fourth season, Kraft was spectacular for the Golden Flyers in 2012... earned second-team All-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association after ranking fifth nationally with a .427 hitting percentage (250-65-433)... also posted a team-best 43 service aces and ranked second on the team with 73 blocks... posted double digit kill totals 14 times, including a career-high 20 kills in a five-set loss to Carthage in the NCAA Tournament at Springfield on 4/27/12... hit .812 (14-1-16) in a four-set win over D'Youville on 3/28/12... named MVP of United Volleyball Conference Tournament after leading Nazareth to three wins with 31 kills, a .431 hitting percentage, nine service aces and 13 blocks... he also was honored that week as Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week... also honored in 2012 as a second-team UVC all-star...

2011: Kraft was a key contributor for the Golden Flyers as he appeared in 30 matches and 107 sets overall and amassed 226 kills (2.11 per set) to go with a dominating .473 hitting percentage... was second on the team in both service aces (30) and blocks (70)... came up big in several key matches, including a 14-1-19 (.684) hitting performance vs. Springfield in the Molten national title match... also hit 13-0-20 (.650) in the Molten semifinals vs. Carthage and 16-0-23 (.696) vs. Baruch in the NECVA Tournament finals... hit 11-2-18 vs. New Paltz in the United Volleyball Conference finals...

2010: had a strong first season for the Golden Flyers as he appeared in 34 matches and 114 sets overall... finished third on the team in kills with 237 to go with a hitting percentage of .328... also led the team in services aces with a school-record 57 (0.50 per set) and total blocks with 112 (0.98 per set)... posted double digit kill totals in eight matches and reached a season-high 16 kills three times -- on 2/12/10 vs. Vassar, on 2/13/10 vs. Medaille and on 2/20/10 vs. Philadelphia Biblical... also had 10 total blocks in the Philadelphia Biblical match... had 10 kills and six aces in a five-set upset win over Baruch in the first round of the NECVA Tournament... had 10 kills in 15 attempts in a three-set semifinal win over MIT on 4/10/10... earned second-team all-tournament honors... also was a second-team NECVA West all-star... named to all-tournament teams for the Nazareth and Vassar Invitationals... finished 15th nationally in services aces per set (0.50)...

Scholastic: a graduate of Southern Regional High School, Kraft played volleyball and basketball there... earned first-team all-state honors in volleyball in 2009 in helping his team to the New Jersey State championship... team also won South Jersey sectional title as well as Shore Conference and Ocean County titles.
