Communication and Media major... son of Brian and Shawne Shorney, Baldwinsville, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Shorney played in all 26 matches in 2019 and 88 sets overall... had 10 service aces and 50 digs... had three aces against Juniata on 2/1/19 and nine digs against NVU-Johnson on 3/30/19.
2018: Shroney played in 15 matches and 40 sets in 2018 and totaled 17 digs... had seven digs vs. Bard on 3/24/18... named to United Volleyball Conference All-Academic List (3.30 GPA or higher).
2017: returning for his second season, Shorney appeared in 12 matches and 20 sets in 2017... contributed six kills, eight service aces and six digs... had five kills and five service aces vs. Medgar Evers on 3/5/17.
Scholastic: a graduate of C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, Shorney competed in volleyball and track and field... earned Central New York all-star honors in volleyball and helped team to Section Three title in 2015... member of Technical Honor Society.
