Kyle Salisbury

Well known and respected on the area volleyball scene, Kyle Salisbury has been an assistant coach of the Nazareth men's volleyball team since the program's beginning in 2005. In 2020, he completed his 16th season, although the season ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

12069Salisbury played an integral role in helping Nazareth capture the Molten Division III championship in 2011 and was recognized as Assistant Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. He also assisted in getting Nazareth to the inaugural NCAA Division III Tournament in 2012 as well as a berth in the national championship match in 2013.

Salisbury coaches both the boys' and girls' volleyball teams at Midlakes High School in Clifton Springs, N.Y. For the boys' team, he has been selected Section Five Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Screaming Eagles to five Finger Lakes League titles and three Section Five titles. He helped the girls' team to a Section Five title in 2014 and was named Class CC Coach of the Year.

Salisbury’s experience also includes coaching the Western Scholastic boys’ volleyball team at the Empire State Games in 2004; serving as Director of Education and Clinician for the Western Empire Volleyball Association; serving as coordinator for the Finger Lakes Volleyball League; and coaching at various levels in the Rochester Volleyball Club.

Salisbury has an undergraduate degree in mathematics from St. Francis College of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in education from Nazareth. He has been a teacher at Midlakes High School since 1994.
