Dan Liberto, former standout volleyball player at SUNY New Paltz, will serve for his second season as a part-time assistant coach for the Golden Flyers in 2013.
A native of Rush, N.Y., Liberto is a graduate of Rush-Henrietta and went on to play four seasons of volleyball, including two as team captain, at New Paltz. Liberto totaled more than 1,000 career kills and was a first-team Metro Division all-star in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Assocation in 2009.
Liberto also was an academic standout at New Paltz, where he amassed a 3.59 grade-point average with majors in Geography and History and was named to the Dean's List seven times.
Liberto also serves as a women's assistant coach at SUNY Geneseo and is active as a coach in the Pace Bootlegger Volleyball Club. He also is enrolled in the Athletic Administration Master's program at SUNY Brockport.
